What is a Buneen?

A Buneen is the Yugembeh word for Echidna. Buneen’s are an important totem animal for the Yugembeh peoples.

The use of the word Buneen in the Buneen Method recognises the beauty and ancient strength of the Buneen. Buneens are comfortable navigating many landscapes and they thrive in the diverse ecosystems of Australia.
