At Buneen Consulting, we are dedicated to dismantling Indigenous disadvantage by facilitating meaningful employment opportunities for First Nations peoples. Our TAFE Graduate Program is designed to integrate graduates into the Victorian Public Sector, enhancing their career prospects and contributing to the community’s prosperity

Program Overview

Introduction

There is a critical need to integrate First Nations people into various roles within the Victorian Public Sector. Our program initially targets placements for TAFE graduates holding VET certificates Levels 3 or 4, a pivotal step toward overcoming Indigenous disadvantage

Our goal is to place two TAFE graduates into each participating VPSC employer starting in July 2024, with potential adjustments based on specific employer capabilities. This twelve-month program focuses on building and deepening employer-employee relationships

Activities and Deliverables

Timeline and process

The program begins in July and spans twelve months, emphasising:

  • Employment placement: Secure at least one graduate position per employer.

  • Managerial training: Equip managers with the skills to support their new team members effectively.

  • Ongoing support: Regular consultations and support for both managers and graduates.

  • Cultural enhancement: Improve workplace culture through increased cultural understanding."
